Nostalgic Productions exists to recreate the era of radio! Our troupe of actors will come to your place and replicate one of those radio shows. For the audience it will be like they are sitting in the radio studio as a live broadcast is done.
We take theater to the people, putting on these radio shows in churches, at clubs and other places where people gather. If you are interested in us doing a show, contact us at kdud@hotmail.com.

On a crisp autumn morning, the folks of Sleepy Hollow are buzzing with anticipation for their new schoolmaster’s arrival. Ichabod Crane makes quite the entrance with his priggish correctness and strict ways, putting a damper on the town’s fun-loving and mischievous spirit. His genteel manners and enthusiastic hymn singing eventually impress the ladies, including Katrina Van Tassel, the town belle. The men, though, are less enthused, especially Katrina’s suitor, Brom Bones, who is eager to rid himself of this unwelcome rival. Matters come to a head during the Van Tassel’s Halloween party, after which the superstitious Ichabod is accosted on his lonely ride home by a fiendish apparition, the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow. The next morning Ichabod has disappeared, leaving behind only a song in the wind as a new legend is born.
Ichabod Crane (male, age 18 – 35)
A lanky and superstitious schoolteacher from Connecticut, Ichabod Crane is both bookish and awkward, yet he dreams of wealth and social prestige. His fascination with local ghost stories and his pursuit of Katrina Van Tassel lead him into a fateful encounter with the Headless Horseman.
Geoffrey Crayon (male or female, age 18 – 120)
The narrator.
Katrina Van Tassel (female, age 16 – 30)
The beautiful and flirtatious daughter of a wealthy farmer, Katrina is the object of Ichabod Crane’s affections. She enjoys the attention from her suitors and is known for her flirtatious charm and playful nature.
Brom Bones (male, age 16 – 35)
A burly, boisterous, and mischievous local hero, Brom Bones (Abraham Van Brunt) is Ichabod’s rival for Katrina’s hand. He is known for his strength, courage, and penchant for practical jokes, often using his wits to outmaneuver Ichabod.
Baltus Van Tassel (male, age 18 – 68)
A wealthy and well-respected farmer in Sleepy Hollow. He is the father of Katrina Van Tassel and is known for his prosperous estate. He is hospitable and generous, often hosting gatherings that showcase his wealth and social standing.
Edith Van Tassel (female, age 18 – 68)
Baltus’s wife and Katrina’s mother, Mrs. Van Tassel is a warm and welcoming presence in the Van Tassel household. She is known for her culinary skills and her role in managing the domestic affairs of the farm.
Kermit & Bruce (male, age 16 – 35)
Friends and loyal followers of Brom Bones, making up the notorious Sleepy Hollow Boys. Nicholas is sweet on Margaret Van Ripper.
Hans Van Ripper (male, age 18 – 68)
Hans Van Ripper is a stern and practical man in the village, often concerned with proper conduct and the industriousness of the younger generation. He is a fatherly figure to the children and strict with his daughter, Margaret.
Sally Van Ripper (female, age 18 – 68)
Dame Hilda Van Ripper is the wife of Hans Van Ripper. She is a supportive and nurturing figure in the Van Ripper household.
Parson Brouwer (male, age 20 – 120)
The local minister.
Mrs. Moribund (female or male, age 16 – 120)
An elderly widow.
